Barby Preschool Association - Covid-19 Update

As parents will know we have been closed since 23rd March as a consequence of the Covid-19 pandemic.  In line with Government policy we are working on reopening in June.  This is quite a complex process as we have to work out how we can use our rooms in the Village Hall effectively and safely in compliance with social distancing guidelines.  We have recently written to all parent members of the Association setting out the current overall situation with Preschool and seeking their requirements for reopening.  Once we know the likely numbers, we will be able to finalise our plans and contact parents with more detail about reopening.

We are also inviting expressions of interest from parents whose children will be eligible to join Barby Preschool at the beginning of the new academic year in September. We cannot currently offer personal meetings with prospective parents and children but you can visit our website www.barbypreschool.co.uk

Please address any inquiries to our Acting Supervisor, Catrina Pounds on 07789428463 or info@barbypreschool.co.uk

Our Philosophy

The ethos of the Pre-school is to provide a wide range of play based learning experiences indoor and outdoor, focused on the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum. It is hoped that the Pre-school will help the children of the village and surrounding area to make the best possible start to their learning journey by building on the skills they already have and helping in the transition to school.

Our Setting Aims to:

  • Provide high quality care and education for children primarily below statutory school age
  • Work in partnership with parents to help children learn and develop
  • Contribute to the life and well-being of the local community
  • Offer children and their parents/carers a service that promotes equality and values diversity
